The speech pathologists at Community Rehab Care treat a wide variety of functional communication and cognitive impairments that cause disability following a neurological
illness (such as stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, or anoxic brain injury). They also treat learning and language disorders found in the school aged pediatric population.
The speech pathologist works directly with patients to provide skilled assessments, with a treatment emphasis that is placed on restoring functional performance, communication and pragmatics, in the person's real world environment. That environment might be a person's home, school, work place or community.
