Speech and Language Pathology Services


The Speech Language Pathologists at Community Rehab Care treat a wide variety of functional communication and cognitive impairments that cause disability following a neurological illness (such as stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, or anoxic brain injury).
The speech pathologist works directly with patients to provide skilled assessments, with a treatment emphasis that is placed on restoring functional performance, communication and pragmatics, in the person's real world environment. That environment might be a person's home, school, work place or community.
  • Cognitive Linguistic Training Training (i.e. attention, memory, planning, and organization)

  • Functional Communication Training

  • Language Remediation / Aphasia

  • Speech / Apraxia / Dysarthria

  • Social Communication Appropriateness / Pragmatics

  • Reading / Writing
